Gábor Kosztolánczy

About

It was an excellent school when I was a child to paddle home after the storm soaked and defying the wind, while joking with my fellow sportsmen on each other’s sidewaters so that we would not succumb to fatigue. I have learned for life that even though I have the paddle in my hand to propel my own boat, I can always receive an external gesture, attention, support, or even a question that pushes me further through the difficulty, that focuses my attention on what really matters, and that allows me to get ahead than I could alone.
Besides high school, I taught Maths and Physics. My students said they liked to come to me because I could tune in and articulate in such a way that even they understood what had been Greek to them. I also taught kayaking and skiing to nearly a hundred young people who also loved exercise and I have seen them on the water often ever since. In addition to the kilometres I have paddled, swam or run, and the degrees I have obtained, my willpower, curiosity and human relationships together represent my real value.
At the beginning of my university years, I was drawn to the world of theatre. I tried almost everything at Madách, and then, jumping right into the deep end with my fresh economic and legal knowledge, the restructuring, economic stabilization and introduction of a renewed face of a bankrupt theatre in the capital became my first sharp organizational development work.
I have been working as a senior manager for more than twenty years, which has given me serious professional experience, knowledge of people, and my continuous support work (teaching, coaching, mentoring) since my youth has given me extra openness, personalized attention and sensitivity.
This spiritual richness helps me as a coach, supervisor, developer or trainer to tune in to my client and move along with his thoughts, feelings, goals or dilemmas in finding an identical solution.
